The Home Show is inspired by Asad Raza’s performative evolution of the apartment exhibition, held at his apartment in New York City. Artists, friends and family were invited to contribute artworks, sounds, performative instructions, and rituals to the show, and every visitor received a tour from Raza. *

A book version of the Home Show by Asad Raza including documentation about the many contributors who came to either make work, write, install work, cook, party or perform at home? The book version of the home show can be somehow navigated the way we navigated Asad’s apartment at the time of the show. (Don’t miss Adriàn Villar Rojas’s still life in the freezer.) The book The Home Show can be read like a long stream of ideas (and of prose and of poetry), yet uninterrupted (by design) with all the essay’s titles aligned on the bottom margin, leaving the book’s texts flowing, sans chapters, or noticeable introductions. The book is punctuated with Asad’s photographs (black and white film) and a typographic rendition of Asad’s voice acting as a tour guide.
